What is an Equity?

  • Equities are negotiable securities issued by joint-stock companies representing a share in the company’s capital.

 

  • Owning equities in a publicly traded company listed on Borsa Istanbul represents your equity ownership in that company.

 

  • Shareholders acquire the right to participate in dividend payments and capital increases (pre-emptive rights) of the invested company.

How to Invest in Equities?

  • Dünya Katılım acts as an intermediary for equity buy and sell transactions in accordance with participation banking principles. Through our bank’s mobile banking app, you can trade equities of companies included exclusively in the "Participation Index".
  • Through an investment account opened via Dünya Katılım Mobile, you can track live equity prices at no cost and execute buy-sell transactions.

  • As Dünya Katılım, we provide brokerage services for equity trading through Ahlatcı Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş.
  • To trade all equities, including those outside the participation index, you can utilize Ahlatcı Yatırım’s digital channels. You can execute transactions by obtaining a password via Ahlatcı Yatırım’s mobile and internet banking platforms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which equities can I trade?

Through Dünya Katılım Mobile Banking, intermediation is provided exclusively for equities that comply with the Participation Index rules.  However, there are no restrictions on selling equities in your portfolio that fall outside the participation index.

Can I purchase equities directly from my current account?

No. You can use the funds transferred to your investment account via the "Transfer to My Investment Account" option within the money transfer section under the Equity menu.

What is your commission rate?

A commission rate of 0.2% of the executed transaction volume (excluding BITT (Banking and Insurance Transactions Tax)) is charged on equity buy and sell orders.

Can I modify my order after placing it?

Unexecuted orders on the stock exchange can be modified or canceled. Cancellation fees are assessed according to Borsa Istanbul's official cancellation fee schedule for order cancellations and downward price adjustments.

Can I withdraw my money immediately after selling equities?

Following an equity sale, you can transfer the remaining balance from your investment account to your current account after 2 settlement days (T+2).
